Terms of Service
Version 2026-10-23. Draft starting point — not legal advice.
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and the operator of Hoofprint Valley ("we", "us"). By creating an account or playing you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the game.
2. Who can play
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms for you. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password private.
3. The game is fiction
Hoofprint Valley is a simulation for entertainment. Horses, pedigrees, records, health and veterinary content are fictional and are not advice on caring for, breeding or treating real animals. Breed names are used descriptively; the game is not affiliated with any breed registry.
4. Virtual items and purchases
Farm dollars, Hoofmarks, horses and other in-game items are a limited licence to use within the game. They have no real-money value, cannot be cashed out and may not be sold or traded for anything outside the game. Purchases are final except where the law requires a refund. VIP memberships renew until cancelled and keep their benefits until the paid period ends. We may change prices or game balance at any time.
5. Player conduct
Be respectful. Do not harass, threaten or impersonate others; post hateful, sexual or illegal content; share anyone's personal details; spam or advertise; scam players; cheat, use bots or exploit bugs; or run extra accounts to gain an advantage. Report bugs instead of using them.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of what you write (forum posts, bug reports, horse and farm names) and give us a licence to host, display and moderate it within the game. Content may be checked automatically, including by AI, and removed if it breaks these rules.
7. Automated moderation
We use automated systems, including AI, to screen posts and spot rule breaking. Clear and serious violations may lead to an immediate automatic suspension, which an administrator then reviews. Less clear cases are sent to an administrator before any action is taken. You can appeal any decision, automatic or not.
8. Grounds for suspension
We may suspend or close an account for any of the following. This list gives examples, not every case; we judge each situation on its facts, including how serious it is, whether it was repeated and any explanation you give.
- Harassing or bullying other players
- Hateful or discriminatory content
- Sexual or explicit content
- Threats or encouraging harm
- Sharing someone's personal details
- Cheating, bots or exploiting bugs
- Selling game items or accounts for real money
- Scams or attempts to trick players
- Spam or advertising
- Extra accounts used to gain an advantage
- Pretending to be staff or another player
- Other serious breach of the Terms (explained in the notice)
9. Suspension notice and appeals
If your account is suspended you will see a notice in the game that names the ground, the date and whether the decision was automatic. While suspended you cannot play, post or compete, but your farm is kept.
You can appeal once per suspension from that notice. Explain in your own words (at least 20 characters) why the decision is wrong. An administrator reviews the appeal, aiming to reply within 7 days, and either lifts the suspension or keeps it with a short reason. We keep a record of each decision and its review.
Serious or repeated breaches may lead to permanent closure. If a suspension is overturned, it is removed from your standing.
10. Ending your account
You can stop playing at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may end or change the game, or close accounts as described above.
11. Disclaimers and limits of liability
The game is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free or that saved progress will never be lost. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. When we do, we change the version date and ask you to accept the new version before you continue playing.
