Sunrise at the stud: a tan barn with dark open doors beside a weeping willow, a post-and-rail fence running along the pasture, and the sun bursting between misty ridges.

Hoofprint Valley

Horse breeding game

Build a horse farm across generations. Hoofprint Valley is a free-to-start browser game where every foal inherits coat genes and white markings from its parents. Choose your breeding lines, care for your horses and compete with other players.

A horse genetics game, not a random coat picker

Follow pedigrees and compare same-breed pairings. A foal receives an allele at each modeled locus from each parent; hidden recessive alleles can reappear in later generations. Base colors, dilutions and white patterns combine to shape the painted portrait.

The simulation includes breed-specific gene pools and explicit simplifications. Its fictional horses and portraits are not laboratory results or veterinary advice.

Eleven breeds, different farm decisions

Choose from Thoroughbred, Mustang, Percheron, Shetland Pony, Stock Horse, Appaloosa, Hanoverian, American Warmblood, Clydesdale, Paint and Connemara. Each breed has its own abilities, upkeep and coat possibilities. Crossbreeding is not part of the game.

A long-term farm on phone and desktop

Manage feed, care, veterinary needs, training, barns and farm finances alongside breeding. Enter multiplayer shows and use the market to develop your herd. Your farm is saved to your account across devices.

This is a real-time game, not a turn-based one: 2.5 real weeks equal one game year, and pregnancy lasts seven real days. It suits players who enjoy planning a breeding career over time.
